Sunlit began with a single film. In 2015, our founder made a simple fundraising video for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support a friend's son who was battling leukemia. The film helped raise more than $50,000, and it showed something powerful: when stories are told with honesty and clarity, people respond.
That idea still guides everything we do. Sunlit is a storytelling practice for impact-focused people and organizations who want to communicate the value of their work clearly.
Our work is grounded in more than 25 years of engineering, program management, and business strategy across the aerospace and medical device industries. That background shapes how we approach every story. We start by understanding the system behind the work, including its goals, its people, and its results. Then we translate it into narratives that connect with donors, funders, and communities.
The name Sunlit comes from a love of nature: open skies, tall trees, and the clarity that comes from stepping outside. Nature reminds us what matters most. In that spirit, Sunlit exists to bring important work into the light, so others can see the purpose, the people, and the impact behind it.
Our Mission
To contribute to a better world by helping impact-driven organizations clearly communicate the amazing value of their work, through honest, human-centered storytelling—so the right people understand their work and know how to support it.
